The person need to be ridiculously rich or unwise in spending money to ebay that amount of money for the title.

Please Anet. Enough of this 'buy a title' crap. If you want to give people more titles, make them so they are not huge money/grind sinks. It does'nt make people want to play more it just annoys and makes them think 'well whats the point in that!"'

Just think very soon they'll add a new rank to KoBD for 35 max titles..

Haha, this title track is hilarious.

[sarcasm]You can tell a lot of thought went into its implementation.[/sarcasm]

Rather than fix the screwed economy, or create an auction house, or do something their players would like, they do this.

Hey A-Net, pve'ers dont want to pvp. No amount of carrot is going to get them to do it. Have you just about figured this out? How about you give your largest player base (and best hope for a profitable gw2) something they want and not this crap.

As I said earlier, it will take $9000 to max the title with current prices. Let's say that zkeys jump to 10k each, which isn't that outlandish. The title will then cost $30,000. Get a hold of yourself.

Some people like that sort of thing. Other people like PvP. This works for both sides.

Some guilds sell fame farming services, along with cape trim, farmed guild rating, and anything else you could think of.

Does anyone else think that maybe an emote for KoaBD title track may have been a better idea?

I know that no emotes at all would be the ideal solution, but it's pretty clear that isn't going to happen.

So, thoughts?

PvE players asked for a title track with emotes, and they got one. Seeing as you like bold: Just because you get the keys from PvP players does not make this a PvP title. It does not require playing PvP at all.

GvG has capes and champ titles, HA has ranks, HB has individual ranking. I don't see what need there is for a new genuine elite PvP title, the gold will be more useful.

Some casuals (noobs) may be enticed to PvP their way through the first few ranks, and that's more beneficial to the long-state health of PvP than a monthly-winners-only title.

Who exactly is making you grind for this title? Besides I doubt all of ANet was working on this...it was prolly one or two people doing the actual coding while other teams focused on more pertinent stuff.

As pointed out by others all titles are either a huge grind or money sink. So what makes this one any different?

Ya, you're right. This title/emote didn't have anything to do with A-net trying to revive pvp. They did it strictly so that pvp'ers could make gold and pve'ers could buy an emote. Ya, sorry, how stupid of me. My bad.

Not by me. And anyway, you can have them on PvP characters as well, unless I'm very much mistaken.

Yes. Because when you grind for reputation, there's an 'Environment' versus which you are grinding, which is markedly absent when you buying Zaishen keys.

You just stated most profoundly why this title and emote are a blatant failure of ANet to connect to their playerbase.

Think about these numbers and tell me zkey prices will be high.

if in the MAT i have guessed half correct i would get 3000 Tournament points which is 600keys. For doing nothing but selecting random names. and each key would sell for at current rate 3000g. thanks anet for my 1.8mil gold

lets say people will pay 5k/key. Thats 3 Mil.

I would suggest that if you got keys sell em now while everyone is offering high prices because even at 3k a key the people playing the MAT are going to get stinkin rich

Cool. More crap from ANet.

Of course, GWAMM and anything else on the KoaBD track gets no emote, which people have asked about for a long time.

I doubt Zaishen keys will stay at 3k after this. I guess this is their response to people wanting title points for opening it as a chest.

And of course, even though it's a rank we can buy, the emotes don't even look that wonderful. The title doesn't prove anything, and therefore it's a waste of an addition.

I really hope they make this one retroactive, so that it counts the times you have opened the chest in the past...

I feel bad for everyone that bought and used all of those keys already.

Edit note: Thanks Shayne for pointing out that I forgot to use the word "used". >.<

Don't they already consider "ranking" unsportsmanlike?
